220 / 300 fuel filter wanted
« on: March 21, 2017, 07:25:28 AM »
I am looking for a replacement for my 300b. The threads have broken and cracks are appearing on the inlet. Attached photo shows the style . Part number is 187 476 06 90 or 000 476 06 90 and this is stamped into the mounting arm. I believe the 220 part number is slightly different, but appears to be the same.

Also similar to the early 190SL fuel filter.  The lever position is opposite yours but could possibly work or be modified.  There are several on ebay, here is just one

Thanks John. I have plenty of the 190SL/Ponton type, but the 300 type is rare and hard to find. I have been quoted various prices from $300 to $450, however I found a body only, which is the part I need, in Austria for EUR 60, so I purchased it and it is on the way.

So glad you found it.  I was looking at mercedes replacement at $700>800 US.  They really up the price for model 300 cars.

Hi all,

I struggle to find a fuel tap/filter for my 220A.
Does anyone know if I can use the ones fitted in other models, like 190's or 300?

It looks like the 300 and 220 are the same but as John mentioned, the lever is in a different position from those of the ponton type.
