WTB 170v fuel tank and left side headlight base
« on: November 17, 2017, 08:12:21 PM »
Looking for a useable fuel tank for my 49' 170v project and a drivers side headlight base. My fuel tank is dented in and rusted out pretty bad. Beyond my skill to repair.
Also looking for two front wheel brake cylinders. Tried to rebuild mine, but they are too far gone with pitting etc.

I had all my wheel cylinders and the master cylinder bored and sleeved in stainless steel.  They were very well done!

Thanks for the reply. May have to look into the relining option. Honing did not do the trick!

I found my receipt.  I had mine done in 2010 by:

Brake & Equipment Warehouse, Inc.
455 Harrison St, NE
Minneapolis, MN 55413
(612) 378-3141, (800) 233-4053

I was pleased with the quality of the work.
Maybe others reading this have additional experiences or references?

nice, thanks. That sounds like a really good solution. Will have to check their current prices
