Do you have the original bearing in hand?  If so, my experience has been that you may do better searching for that manufacturer part number that is likely stamped on the bearing itself.  I have replaced several of the bearings on my car from a local bearing supplier.

I looked a Niemoller, but it looks like they don't stock it, but can get it.

One additional comment.  The original bearing was lubricated by the Central Lube System.  Many years ago, my bearing was replaced with a sealed bearing and that lube hose closed off.  (Same thing with the bearing in the middle of the drive shaft.)

Many vendors have the language choice buttons. Does that require translations to be done in advance or do they utilize some sort of real time translation?

I have only recently learned how to use the Google translator, where you can put in an address and have the whole page translated, as well as any pages you link to.

I wish I had time to use this more to explore the various German websites.

That would be difficult. The German forum is great, the people are very helpful, I try to read it and participate a little, using Google translation, but the language barrier makes it very difficult. In my opinion, both forums can exist, both are valuable enough and each provides great information for the public speaking its language.

Dear friends
i guess you all are members of the 170v.de forum as well?
This is the most active forum and daily updated with enquires, tips&tricks and documents for our great cars.
Knowing its a german forum, but basically all members could understand/write english as well.
Many member write their entries but in the germn and english thread.
Why couldnt we start a consolidtion process? I bet everyone would be winner.
One global forum, one member base, one single point of contact with all our 170 friends around the globe.
Your thought on this?
/Thomas
And, yes - iím personally very much willing to help and support a migration and integration project for the two forums...

@hansvdc. Maybe a too tough challenge. But, honestly it's on a level I would go for a A/B-cab restoration project :-)

Technical / Re: W153 engine color?
« Last post by Ted on October 17, 2017, 03:47:57 PM »
Thank you Henry! So far I think there's no way to make it that blue, will be black of some gray color. Still black is my favorite, having aluminum head and oil pan, it would be ok even in a black car.
