Carb Rebuild Kit
« on: July 18, 2013, 03:03:55 PM »
I need a carb rebuild kit for my 52 220 B Cab.  Classic Mercedes only sells piece by piece.  Does anyone have a source for the full kit?  I have emailed Niemoeller, but have not heard back yet.  Thanks

Check with Royze (http://www.royze.com/kit%20mercedes-benz.htm). They may be able to help.

Also Art's Classics

You will also find several other sources if you search for "Solex 30 PAAI"

I don't think there is any kit for this carb. I usually make it up from individual parts. You don't need much, the cover gasket and the accelerator pump diaphragm, and sealing washers. I reuse the original float needle valve because I think they are better quality than the replacements in kits. The Solex valves are available but expensive.

Here is an eBay vendor sells carb parts including the float needle valve as follows:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Schwimmernadelventil-2-5-Solex-FVS-FHS-BFLV-BFRV-/140602772068?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item20bc940a64

and the eBay store:

http://stores.ebay.com/Vergaser-Teile-Weber-Solex-Dellorto?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

He has lots of other items including throttle shafts, etc.  I purchased a float needle valve several years ago from this vendor for my Solex 30BFLVS (170V carb)

These needle valves look like copies, but they may be fine.
