Head Gasket Needed
« on: September 17, 2015, 12:07:11 PM »
I am in need of a head gasket.  MB  part # 180 016 51 20.
This is for a '52 220 Sedan with a 6.7-1 compression ratio.
MB and Niemöller say it is no longer available.
There must be one still out there somewhere, but I could use help finding it.
Searching internet shows lots of listings, but when I can to verify they actually have it, no one has had it yet.
So, if anyone knows of a source, please let me know.
Thank you.
Scott

I may have found one.  It has been ordered.  I just hope that what arrives is actually what I ordered.

There are at least three different gasket/head configurations for the 220, and the gaskets are not interchangeable because they are matched to the various compression ratios available for that car.

Stephen, thanks for the link to that web site.  never know when it may come in handy for a future project.
