This auction is for a 1948 Mercedes Benz 4 door street rod. It belongs to a friend of mine who asked me to list the car for him. This is a beautiful and tastefully done car for someone who wants a nice high tech rod but something different from the everyday car. This car is all steel super straight and solid. The front doors are sucide the rears open regular. It has a 1989 ford mustang 5.0 HO EFI engine and ford AOD auto trans. It has cold ac,cruise, tilt, jvc am-fm cd, Norstaugh digital gage display, rack and pinion steering, power disc brakes on front drum on the rear. Power windows power seat drivers side only leather interior. He has owned this car aprox 15 years and took him a little over 5 years to build. He takes pride in his workmanship and rest assured the car is built to drive. Everything works . Frame and chassis is built right and boxed. It has a Heidt mustang II front ,ford ranger rear with parallel leaf springs. You may have seen this car at one of these special events, columbus ohio, louisville kentucky, york pa, saracuse ny, maryland, and niagara falls just to name a few.He has received NSRA and good guy awards with numerous trophies. He is in the process of building another rod so he is selling this one to help fund that project. We have a current registration and all proper paper work to make a smooth transfer. Missing pictures? Where's the beautiful and tastefully done car  ;D I've said it in nearly every hot-rod theme, but so far have never seen an old Mercedes hot-rod to like  ::)

I have to agree with you Ted, this one is quite frankly well, vulgar and quite honestly ruins the graceful front end Mercedes design.

It looks so wrong, but I would suspect it must be very fast. Stephen
