Radios for 170 S and 220
« on: October 29, 2012, 06:25:53 PM »
I am planning to sell some radios for the 170 S and 220. They will be reconditioned prior to sale. I'm offering them here first.

They are:

Becker Solitude square dial for early 170 S. This one is quite rare I think.

Becker Solitude round dial for 170 S and 220

Telefunken for 170 S and 220.

I am posting photos of similar radios for identification purposes only.

I would be very interested in a radio used in 1950 (I guess both the 1st and 2nd were used at that time?)

Can you send me info about the price?

Thanks in advance!

Here are some photos of my radios.  The flash is highlighting all the fine scratches in the chrome parts. I'd say they look better in normal lighting.

The Telefunken has an excellent wood facia in the "Pagholz" pressed wood type. The glass with it's markings appears  perfect. The chrome face is good original. With speaker.

The Becker AR 5065 has an unblemished dial face and glass. Nice wood face. Chrome would be OK in an original car. With speaker.

The Becker Solitude has a good original dial face that is showing some crazing in places. The wood needs to be refinished.

As I mentioned before, I can get the chrome pieces done if requested.
