Windscreen wiper gear
« on: July 08, 2017, 12:26:17 PM »
Noticed an issue with one of the gears for windscreen wipers.
Disassembled the mechanism and found out the gear is worn down.
3 or 4 cogs are broken or worned down....se pictures :-(

How to fix this? What do you recommend?

1. Find a new complete gear? But, where..?
2. Find an alternative gear? Did some other cars in the 50's use the same box?
3. Repair the gear by welding or inserting new cogs? Will be quite difficult...
4. Find a new cogwheel? But where and how?

What would you experts say?

Other than someone having a spare, which is probably not too likely, I think eBay DE is going to be your best source.
