new tabs "unread" and "replies"
« on: January 03, 2009, 09:28:05 PM »
You may notice 2 new tabs "unread" and "replies" on the menu bar.   This replaces the text to the right of your avatar you normally see [when logged in]  when entering the forum each time.  The tab function "unread" actually extends further ALL unread messages, regardless of the last forum visit time, whereas previously it was more limited.

If you are accustom to clicking on unread replies since last visit, and do not frequent the board daily, then you are aware of how it can be a time savings without clicking through all the boards looking for the "new" icon.

Jim. In Firefox, I am not seeing the Mark messages Read, and other menu options properly. Screen shot below.

it seems to be working for me now.   I'm posting in mozilla firefox. There should be a "forum options" button under the reply button, which, when you hover your mouse over, presents the other options, mark read, notify, send this topic, print, etc....  its javascript. In some cases, it depends on what thread you are testing it in.  Let me know if there are further problems with it.

Yes, I see now. Thanks. Back to the drawing board.  Seems to be a confict within the new theme with a previous modification.
