For sale is a 1952 Mercedes 220 Cabriolet B automobile. The car has a 2195cc six cylinder engine with 80 hp @ 4850 RPM’s. 4 speed transmission on the column. Mercedes lists the top speed of 87 MPH and acceleration figures of 0-62 MPH in 21 seconds. (I like the way Mercedes has always listed the performance data of their cars – even 57 years ago!) The car has a Telefunken Radio that has multiple bands. The car also has a fitted luggage set that is in just as great of condition as the car. The lights are original Bosch with halogen bulbs. There are no sealed beam units behind the original lens like so many restored cars have. I also have the original owners manual, sales literature, and service manual. The car is in absolutely perfect condition and everything works. Paint is A-1 mirror finish. The engine has good compression and pulls strong. Car only has a little over 39,000 kilometers which is about 24,500 miles. You won’t have to do anything to it, just show and drive it. You can restore a car cheaply or correctly. Mine was done correctly. I purchased the car in 2002 and it was cosmetically restored when I bought it. I restored the car mechanically. I have receipts totaling over $37,000 in mechanical repairs. The car runs perfectly and rides like a dream. It will definitely turn heads. I have trophies from every car show that I have entered it in. I have photos posted on the internet at www.oldsouthphotography.net/car and a video of the car at www.oldsouthphotography.net/car/mercedes220 . The video is quite large so it may take some time to load. The reason I am selling the car is that I have found another car that I would like to purchase. I do not have to sell this car and will not give it away. Buyer is responsible for any shipping and transportation costs. Winning bidder must make a $500 deposit within 48 hours. Balance due within 7days of auction close. I will accept Paypal for the deposit but not the balance. Car will not be released until payment has been made in full and cleared the bank. Car is located in Louisiana and I would be happy to show it to anyone interested. I can be reached at 318-381-5080 or email at s350@bellsouth.net
