Is the Chassis boxed yes or no?

Do you mean extra plates in the center  like the 220 cab A? I'd have to dig out my pre-digital pictures of my 1938 to see what it looked like.

I have seen 2 versions
indeed the extra plates in the center ,but also really boxed frames
And i have seen it on several cab A
I need To  replace the Chassis of my roadster in the future
Now it has a 170 vb chassis see the picture
I have the original papers with the car

Today i was at the Techno Classica in Essen Germany
It is one of the greatest oldtimer exhibitions in Europe
Finnely i found a 170v Cab A with the boxed frame
anyone seen this before ?

That is different!  I wonder what years had the boxed frame .... was it a change from the tubular frame or the opposite.

I don't think mine was like that. It was a 1938, chassis number 414 843.

It is the normal chassis
the welded an u profile at the underside
