That's a good find, we don't have many 170 cars here

This 1951 Mercedes Benz 170S is in very good condition. Mechanically it is A1 and perfect for weekend drives.

The car has always been kept garaged. It comes with full registration to march 2012. Currently fitted with new tyres and two new batteries. A full mechanical service recently performed.

No time wasters.

Wonder why it has two batteries.  Converted to 12 volts with two 6 volt batteries in series?

Could be ether,

maybe 12 volts for the lights and 6 volts for the rest of it.

although that would make charging annoying

probably as you say, two 6 volts in series
