300 PARTS BOX
« on: September 05, 2012, 05:43:36 PM »
Thought I would share with you a recent purchase. Spotted this on eBay, in a fairly poor looking condition, and picked it up for what I thought was a bargain. Was pleasantly surprised to find when received that it had been covered in a self-adhesive vinyl, and the following photos revealed a box in fairly pristine condition.

It sure cleaned up nicely!  Were there many spare parts in the box or just what was in your final picture?

There were a few parts, some of which were quite nice to have, but I have the list of what should be in there, so will progressively replace all of the missing items.

Well At least I know know who out bid me.

All I will say I was in-between paychecks,. so had to bow out in the low hundreds.

Did you not get all the lose parts that were in the ebay pictures like the fuel filter and water pump coupling?

I can fill that box with 88% NOS.

Sorry about that ! Yes, I got all the parts, and I also bought the other small lot they had on offer. I noticed they also had the head gasket and a few other parts but whether they removed those from the box to maximise the prices they got, I don't know, but it was more the box I was interested in, and it will go nicely with my fitted luggage and dual mounted spare tires.

It was optional to buy this box and were mainly purchased for travelling long distances between countries or to foreign lands where parts availability was limited. Here is a list of what was in it.  Sorry about the quality of the copy. If anyone has a better copy, I would appreciate it.
