An interesting piece has been recently sold on the German ebay. Unfortunately the pictures are not very good, but anyway:

good morning… i'm a new member.
I'm looking for the codes about prewar colors, i've seen the "karosserie-Austattungen" Typ 170 v Innenlenker un Cabrio-Limousine (mine is a Cabrio-Limousine).
Does anybody knows how to find the same colors codes in 1950?
Example: ""Karosserie d'blau 03365"" (from tacaria.com.pt)---> wich color is to use now? Is it the same of the 1950 ""Mittelbalu DB 350""

Someone can help me?

Mille grazie from Italy.

This piece of literature is a close as you will get, probably. I think that if you look over some of the printed literature, which has been posted to get an idea what was offered, then pick something appropriate (also that you like), you will not get any criticism for your choice. I agree with John Ellis. I have never seen any cross referencing to post-war colors.

If you look at the postwar colors available in the early fifties, I'm would think that the pre-war choices would have been similar. If you pick one of these, a least they were actual Mercedes offerings, even if not the same period.
