1954 170sv - gearbox broken!
« on: May 27, 2013, 02:28:51 PM »
Hi

Today I was driving my 170Sv from 1954, when a loud bang came from the Gearbox. So now i have to replace it.
Im living in norway, is there anybody in here that know of a gearbox in scandinavia?

It is a 4-speed gearbox operatet from the steering wheel.

You better find out what went wrong instead of a complete (new) gearbox

Agree. There are several things that may be the cause - flex disk, clutch plate, etc. I think you have to remove the gearbox to determine the problem and cause.
