Parts Needed For My 52 Cab B
« on: August 05, 2013, 12:47:28 PM »
For my 52 220 B Cab, at present I need:

Radio
Front Turn signal (Chrome Spear on Front Fender)
Horns
Trunk Star
Trunk Handle
Trunk 220 Emblem
All lenses on tail lights and marker lights
The plastic that goes in the visors
Ignition switch with key

That's my starting list, if anyone has any of this for sale, please let me know.  THanks

As far as the inserts for the visors, I purchased the color plexi-glass I wanted, cut it with my Dremel and then riveted the frame back together. Stephen

Where did you find the correct color plexi-glass?

I can't remember but it all started with a google search. I don't know if I can find the source but I was able to obtain the desired thickness, size and color without too much effort. Stephen

Radios are available from a number of European vendors, but not cheap. Lenses are often on eBay, as are trunk stars and emblems.

Speaking of the sun Visor material.  I know the 220 Cab A had the colored plastic, and I wondered about the Cab B.
Maybe Henry knows.  My visors are not colored plastic but more of a brown plastic or fiber/cellulose material.  But they may have been tampered with in her past. I'd like to know what they should be as well.

Here is a picture of the before (right image) and the finished product. I was very happy with the color of the plexiglas. Stephen

I've been buying the visor lenses form Niemoeller. They are brown. More pricey that just buying plexiglass, but it's the correct thickness (2mm I think) which I haven't been able to find in the US.

Henry,
Are they of a solid/non-transparent material?

Mine are blue, and they are slightly translucent, but not totally.

The Niemoeller stuff is  transparent. These come un-cut.

To JREID,
This guy who specializes in Potons is parting our a 220 Salon. He still has a Becker radio from it if you're still in need.
