Hoses and Lines

What is the best source for hoses and lines?  I will be replacing heater hoses, metal brake lines, metal fuel lines, and lubrication system lines.  Thanks

Julian

Here is a source for some but probably not all of your needs. I would suspect he can make them for our models. Stephen

I have recently  taken over Pinky Winther's hose business, I can assemble these hoses new if need be,  I can also correctly build all of the other oil and fuel hoses for 300SL's and most likely other 300's.

Kindly send an email off list to DINHoseman@... if interested.

Cheers,
Bob West

For central lube system:

Hoses      4 each - 380 mm long
Hoses      1 each - 300 mm long

tubing      steel - 4 mm dia
tube fittings are ferrule (4.1 DIN 71426) and nut 4.2(DIN 71426)

Be very careful in removing the tubing nuts from the distribution manifolds.  The manifolds are made from an aluminum cast alloy and are very fragile.   The manifolds are not replaceable except for old stock and very hard to find.

For brake lines:

tubing              6 mm diameter steel tubing

rear hoses       2 each - MB# 000 428 08 35  (235 mm long)
front hoses      2 each - MB# 000 428 07 35  (380 mm long)

all tubing is joined to tube nuts with double flare fittings.
many people are replacing steel with "cunifer" tube   http://www.cunifer.com/
do not use copper tubing for brake lines!
