Prewar 170 versions
« on: February 08, 2014, 10:04:19 AM »
I was looking at a 1936 170v Cab A that was sold at the RM auction in London last Sept. The Radiator cap on the auction car is on the top of the shroud. Mine, which is also a 1936 has the radiator cap under the hood. I was interested in knowing if there was a change in 1936 or if I might have a 1935 car.

You have the earliest version star, I think only used in 1936, but I'm not sure of the cut-off. As far as I know, there were no 1935 170 V's.

Thanks for the insight. I still need to get a copy of the information from the factory. My dad took a look at it many years ago in the archives. He did not get a copy. I know the first owner is in the documents.
