Here is a sad story about 8 Corvettes which were damaged by a sinkhole.

I've been following this story since it 1st occurred. So far, they have retrieved 3 of the 8. It is quite the process.

Who would expect such a thing!
And the /only/ owner of the black beauty donated it there, in order to be best preserved! Fortunately with more or less work, all these seem repairable.

As an update, they have retrieved 7 of the 8 Corvetts. The last is 40 feet down and upside down.

Well, they retrieved the final Corvette. I don't see how they can restore this one.
