Identify spare parts
« on: January 04, 2015, 11:08:55 PM »
When I got the car from my dad there came several boxes of parts. Some maybe parts that never made it on the car, old parts that were replaced, or parts not for the car. Any help is appreciated.

Relay
Flasher unit-- I think. There are two of them in the box
Condenser - not sure if it was original
What I think is a in line resistor. Tag mentioned it being between the coil and dist.
Remote fuse box
lamp holders ???
Alum pcs ???
Original carpeted part. matches the old carpet my dad saved from the restoration.
 Alum edge pcs  ???

I would say:
Relay and flasher, no
Condenser, looks like a radio suppression one, not likely unless the car had a radio
In line resistor, doubtful
Remote fuse box, maybe for some accessory item, probably not standard
Lamp holders? Two of these are switches, maybe the third. Same as used in the car but also used on everything else through the fifties
Aluminum pieces, maybe, I don't know the details of a Cab B body
Carpet?
Aluminum edges pieces, not sure about these but can't think of where they would go

Thanks for the help.
I spent some time with my dad today and brought up the parts again. Some days are better than others. He reminded me that he got the car after it had been taken apart by some one else.  He remembered about the edge strips. They are from our Rolls PI. They are for the edges of the running boards. He did not have the long outside strip but had the ends.

Again thanks for the info.
