Spare Parts Box
« on: April 29, 2015, 03:12:40 PM »
Hi
As many of you may know, from 1949 to 1956, Mercedes Benz used to offer for the 170 series, 220 series and 300 series a spare parts box made in wood with an assortment of spare parts. These boxes are rare and hard to find these days. There have been some efforts to reproduce them as far as I know.
Well, last year talking with Craig Sample, we talked about doing something in this issue. The result is now in my hands and I am very satisfied with the result.
The 220 and 300 boxes are the same size and the 170 box is a little smaller. If anyone is interested in getting a box, please contact me off-line. The first batch of 4 boxes is sold at this moment but the guy that built them for me is willing to do some more as a way to help his daughter with the college expenses.
All boxes will bear the lettering corresponding to your car selection. My email is raj1@aljim.com.mx
