Headlight Bucket supports??
« on: December 27, 2015, 01:12:17 PM »
170S 1950
Drivers side headlight bucket support, made out of pot metal is crumbled and shot.

Before I go and search for one on the web, does anyone know the proper name of this part.

The car has two, one left hand and one right hand, that sit on the outside of the fenders fastened by two bolts underneath, with the wires to the headlamp passing through a large pot metal nut. They support the large round headlight buckets.

Who ever invented pot metal should be hung as a crack addict!!!

Every damn part on this car made out of this crappy metal has busted off the bolts...I am going to have to drill and tap every damn piece to get them back on the car.
