vintage Telefunken and Becker tube radios are VERY!!!! expensive. They also have only AM. (big problem in germany, were all AM broadcasting is switched off.)
I have a
Philips Paladin 551 in my 170Sb. Works excellent on AM and FM.
Tube radio, build from approx. 1953 until 1955.
Wonderfull chome preset push buttons for M-M-L-U-U (AM and FM).
Price in europe is quite better than for Telefunken and Becker radios (several 100 Euro, depends on condition). Sometimes to find on Ebay (
www.ebay.nl or
www.ebay.de)
Pictures and some more information:
http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/philips_paladin_551_1.htmlVery nice to use a cheap FM transmitter to broadcast your own musik to your vintage car from an mp3 player.
Kind regards from Germany
