« on: May 19, 2020, 02:30:05 PM »
Hello Folks long time since I posted here.  I still have my 170sca but I am looking for a Sedan for a project. Primarily interested in a decent body. Engine a plus. Let me know if you know of anything. Thanks

Hi Volker, we are looking to sell my dad's 1953 Mercedes 170 D project car. He passed a few years ago and nobody has done anything with it. It should have nearly all the parts some are in better shape than others I can send you pictures if you would like location is Wimberley Texas I will make a post on this forum soon. I just found that it was still alive I had always been looking for 170 -220.com
Please give me a call to talk about it if it sounds interesting at all. Richard Thompson, 713-859-2970.

If you're in Wimberly, you're just up the road from me. I don't need another project, but I'll keep my eye out for your post.

Hey Azryael , how about if you buy the running car in Wimberley and sell me your body for my project?

I was out due to an illness and then having to hit the ground running getting back to work, so I was never able to actually connect with Richard.

The body of my car is far from perfect, and in fact still can't be moved due to the missing rear suspension.

Thanks to this forum I ended up buying Richards car in Texas. It is now sitting in my garage next to the Cab A and I am hoping to dig into it soon. Seems to have good rust free bones but lots of other loose ends.
